Abstract

This study was carried out to investigate the effects of geometry and location of different air admission holes (secondary, dilution ) on  total temperature characteristics and formation of  nitrogen oxide emissions in a can combustor flame tube, for 8 various cases, using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) .The simulation has been performed  using ANSYS CFX including laminar flamelet model, for  simulation of non premixed methane-air combustion and thermal and prompt nitrogen oxide (NOx ) formation was performed to predicting NOx emission characteristics with a K-epsilon model of turbulent.
